Bill graduated college at the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 1983.  After working in an independent department store as an assistant manager for 2 years, joined the Wal-Mart organization and traveled extensively, opening new stores throughout the Midwest and Northwest. His wife is Sharon, and they have three boys, Matt, Steve and Brad.  They decided to settle in Cody after 17 years with Wal-Mart and pursue a real estate career.  Sharon works at the Park County Health department.

He has been a Board member of the Cody Chamber of Commerce, a Board member of the Park County Boy's and Girl's Club and was on the Board of the Park County Mentoring Program.  He is also involved in many civic and fund raising organizations and strongly believes in giving back to the community.
